ArtbyOlek - My Story

I am the grandson of the award-winning French cartoonist – Marijac.

Born and raised in England, I now reside in Normandy, France and have extensive experience in producing original art in my own recognizable style – whether it is bright, acrylic paintings inspired by my surroundings or watercolour & ink on paper drawings reflecting my mood and observations.

My Story

Art in the Open | L'art en plein air

I believe that art is a way to connect with others and build a community. I love to paint outdoors in public places where my art can be influenced by my surroundings and I am accessible to all.

That's why my motto is "wherever I lay my hat that's my studio"

My Other Passion

Inspired by my maternal French grandfather’s WW2 resistance activity and my paternal Polish grandfather's participation in the battles of Monte Cassino, Tibruk, El-Alamein and Sidi Barrani . I am proud to be a member of the Royal British Legion, Souvenir Francais, Commitee du Souvenir de Mortemer and SPK and I donate 20% of profits from sales of my war inspired art to these and other similar charities including AMVET.
